Meet Dr Javier!
I’ve always loved being a veterinarian, and it’s a privilege to care for the pets and families in our community. After spending 10 years working in Perth’s southern suburbs, I moved to Exmouth, where I enjoyed nearly five wonderful years practising veterinary medicine. Recently, I was delighted to return to Perth and take over Leeming Vet Clinic.
When I’m not at the clinic, I’m a proud husband and father to two energetic boys, and our family also includes two much-loved cats. I enjoy getting outdoors on my mountain bike whenever I can.
My priority is simple: to provide the best possible care for every patient that comes through our doors. I believe in treating every pet with the same compassions, respect, and dedication that I’d want for my own animals, while building lasting relationships with the families who trust us with their care.

Amy first joined the Leeming Vet in 2018 as a student and officially came on board after qualifying as a vet nurse later that same year.
She loves the relationships she has built with the clients and their pets and will always aim to treat them like her own furbabies. Patient care will always be a priority and making sure they feel safe when they come in for procedures. She also loves the work we do with Saving Animals Matters and cuddling all the kittens 😊
When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find Amy spending time with her husband, labradoodles – Molly and Murphy and her cat Lorelai. She also enjoys baking lots of yummy sweet treats!

I’ve had the privilege of working at Leeming Vet Clinic for the past three years, and every day brings something new – which is exactly how I like it! My favourite part of the job is getting to meet so many different animals, and I love the variety of excitement that comes with each new patient.
Beyond the animals themselves, I love being part of a team that genuinely cares. The staff at Leeming Vet Clinic are like family, and we support each other through the busy days, the emotional moments, and the happy endings that make it all worthwhile. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of seeing a sick pet bounce back to health, or watching a shy rescue animal finally relax and trust us.
I also really value the relationships we build with our clients. It means so much to me when owners trust us with their beloved companions, and I always strive to be a reassuring presence – whether that’s answering questions with patience, offering a gentle word during a stressful visit, or simply sharing in the joy with good news arrives.
Whether it’s a routine check-up or a more serious visit, I’m committed to making sure every animal feels safe and every owner feels heard. I truly feel lucky to call Leeming Vet Clinic my second home, and I look forward to meeting many more furry friends in the years to come.
